I urge you to remove the requirement that caretakers live offsite.  If that is not possible, make an exception for L’Arche.   Two of my sons and one of my daughters-in-law “worked” as caretakers so I have firsthand knowledge of the value the family environment L’Arche provide.  The proposed changes would be tremendously detrimental to the wellbeing of the core members (residents with intellectual disabilities) and the caretakers as well.  I urge you to modify the proposal
