I received my Virginia Non-Resident Concealed Handgun Permit earlier this year, and have visited the Commonwealth a couple of times since, while legally carrying concealed.  But what purpose does a license to carry serve, if there will still be places that are off limits?  If I already went through the trouble and expense of a background check, a 2-day self defense training course, and all the other requirements for the license, shouldn't I be able to carry concealed legally for my protection anywhere within the Commonwealth of Virginia?
