I can think of no conceivable reason to disallow carrying firearms in a state forest, particularly by licensed concealed carry permit holders. Our Second Amendment rights and right to self defense do not end when when entering a state park. In fact, restrictions to CCW rights actually endanger the innocent: Wouldn't it have been wonderful to have a permit holder on guard during the Virginia Tech massacre to prevent so much bloodshed?
