I strongly oppose this ammendment both as a former LVT and a pet owner. Proper placement of IV catheters requires knowlegde and understanding of anatomy, training and lots of practice, all things you aquire when you go to school to get your license. By allowing unlicensed assistants to perform this procedure you are removing the ability to regulate training which will result in poorly placed catheters and lower veterinary care standards.
