I personally support this petition because the simple fact is that we don't have enough LVTs in the state and we would be bottom necking so many practices that don't have enough licensed staff by having a doctor or LVT stop what they are doing to put in a catheter when another capable and unlicensed staff member could do it.  Just because someone is unlicensed, doesn't mean they are incapable of doing their job and doing it right.  Learning on the job is huge in this industry so it shouldn't be a bad thing for unlicensed staff to be able to do things like this in order to help out and to keep the flow of the hospital going.
