If only LVTs could place IV catheters, that could seriously effect patient care.  Many hosptitals don't have an LVT on the staff at all times and in an emergancy situation, a patient might now be getting the proper and best care.  Also concerned that the shortage of LVTs could cause an increase in cost to provide care to your pets (decreased supply, increased costs).
