I urge the Commonwealth to approve this change.  The Concealed Carry laws of the Commonwealth have been highly successful and copied by other states.  Its success lies in the fact that law-abiding owners of firearms are many times more likely to prevent a crime than be involved in one.  Nowadays one never knows where he wiil need to protect himself and his family, and state forests, sadly, are not exempt from reality.  To be able to defend self and others is a fundamental right guaranteed by our Founding Fathers, many of whom were Virginia outdoorsman.  There is no reason why this petition should not be granted and I strongly urge its acceptance.
