Those of us who went to school to become licensed, worked incredibly long and hard to earn our credentials and already have a short list of things that separate us from veterinary assistant.  To take something like a catheter placement, which takes skill and time to learn, and make it something that everyone can do, is unfair and devalues us as technicians.
