I am writing in support of the petition to allow unlicensed assistants to place IV catheters. Our training program for assistants is rigorous and overseen by both management and our LVT's (who take the lead in the hands on training) and so are not novices in the field by the time they would be attempting to place catheters.  Allowing our assistants to place IV catheters under the supervision of either the Veterinarian or an LVT would be essential to esnsure optimal operational flow and patient care, particularly for clinics that may not have an LVT availalble to them.  I urge you to approve this petition.
