I support the petition that unlicensed technicians should not be kept from placing IV catheters.  There are clinics that simply do not have licensed technicians and I do not believe it is a good use of our resources when there are assistants or unlicensed technicians in the field that are proficient in placing IV catheters. It will ultimately affect patient care.
