Strongly Oppose

I strongly oppose this amendment to allow unlicensed personnel to place IV catheters. LVTs attend school from 2-4 years to have the skills, knowledge and understanding necessary to perform their job with the highest standards. By allowing unlicensed personnel to place IV catheters, you are devaluing the status and the hard work that licensed technicians perform on a daily basis. This also leads to an open door of allowing placement of urinary catheters, intubation etc in the future. Patients deserve quality care by those are properly licensed.
