As someone who has been on both side of the spectrum (a skilled unlicensed assistant and now and LVT) I strongly oppose this decision. This a band-aid solution to the LVT shortage and we instead need to elevate our profession and encourage more skilled people to attend school. I completed my degree part time while working more than full time. It can be done. We need to be working toward bettering our profession and our medical field as a whole. There is never a good reason to lower the bar.
