I oppose

I do not agree with this proposal, we as licensed professionals went to school to perform tasks that the normal person has not been trained for or have the experience to do so. They also do not have a license to lose if something bad were to happen. At most joe smo off the streets will lose their job and find another one doing something completely different. This is our profession/job, not just what we do but who we are. We chose to continue our education so that we could provide better patient care. There is rarely any “direct” supervision happening for things that clinics get away with. Just another issue of cheap labor to increase owners pockets. If we allow assistants to place catheters, whats next closing the surgical site of surgeries? Just as easy with staples as placing a catheter. Then what left is there for a licensed tech to have the ability that others do not? I vote NO!
