For lawful carry

Please allow (us) law-abiding citizens to bear arms within the State Forests as we are allowed to in the rest of our Commonwealth.  In 25 years in Law Enforcement, I never felt fear from the firearms in the control of law-ABIDING citizens, and these are the only ones currently forbidden to carry firearms in the State Forests and Parks.  Law-IGNORING individuals pay no heed to the rules, and carry firearms as they wish.  And these few armed law-BREAKERS are the ones we wish to be able to defend ourselves (and you) against.

I suspect that there would be less open carrying of firearms if there was not such an outpouring of opposition.  It's perfectly legal to carry a firearm openly on Main Street in any Town or City in our Commonwealth.  How often do you notice a passer-by being openly armed?  How many of those you see are armed and have their firearm concealed?

If you should see my firearm, and are frightened, please accept my apologies.  I have failed in my efforts to conceal my defensive firearm.  I only wish to cause you to think twice if you planned to do me or others harm.
