I could not say this better so I add my suport to what my fellow voter said. Since VA state law allows open/concealed carry in most public places, our state forests should be no different.  In fact, when out camping or hiking, an extra measure of protection makes more sense than prevention.  Since criminals will carry weapons illegally, at least allow us trained and authorized law-abiding citizens the ability without making a choice between law-breaking and protection.
