PTs Performing Dry Needling is UNSAFE AND UNETHICAL

Dry Needling, also known as acupuncture, is a complex medical technique that requires a great deal of training to perfect. Acupuncturists must undergo years of training to sufficiently understand and perform acupuncture. The amount of training PTs receive for dry needling is horribly inadequate and would represent a danger to patients. Dry Needling/acupuncture should be left to practitioners who have had sufficient training, and if PTs wish to also perform Needling, they should be accredited through the appropriate acupuncture licensing body.
