No to Dry Needling. Hazardous to a patient's wellbeing

Dry needling by an unlicensed acupuncturist, including those of different professions such as a PT, is unethical and putting a patient's wellbeing at risk. Without the proper knowledge and training, dry needling may exacerbate a patient's condition. Although PTs have knowledge of the muscles and anatomy of a person, they do not understand the theory and fundamentals of  acupuncture points. There is too much they do not know and too much that could go wrong. Dry needling should be band.
