Please allow the law abiding citizens of the Commonwealth to exercise their God given and Constitutional right to self defense.  Why should that right end at a park boundary?  As with most gun laws that try to restrict us from this right, it only effects the law abiding citizen.  Do you think that if some ill bent person is going to break the law in one of our parks that telling him he can't carry a weapon is going to stop him from doing it?  My family and I are avid hikers and backpackers and would take comfort in knowing that we can defend ourselves if the need should arise.  In most of the areas we go there is little if any cell reception so waiting for help to arrive would be too late.
