Dr's of Physical Therapy have the education and skill to safely and effectively dry needle.

Current Doctorate programs for Physical Therapy require YEARS of intense anatomical and physiological education, and many programs have begun teaching Dry Needling within their curriculums. Currently the skill of Dry Needling is a post-graduate level skill, meaning they go into EVEN MORE  education for it. It may use a similar tool as acupuncture, but that is where the similarities end. Current liturature is more supportive for the field of Dry Needling done by PT's when used in conjunction with other treatment types. It is philosophically and fundamentally different than traditional acupuncture, and does not impede on their business or scope of practice. Please do not consider taking away a tool that has benefited so many.

Thank you
