I support Dry Needling

In school we have learned about dry needling and I have seen it in my clinic rotations. During this time, I have seen nothing but great results! Dry needing is an excellent way to reset muscles spindles (especially muscles that are deeper) in a way that trigger point release or other forms of soft tissues releases might not be able to. All the therapists I have seen dry needle are VERY well versed in human anatomy and are extremely well trained. Dry needling, although it uses an acupuncture needle, is very different from acupuncture. Dry needling targets a specific muscle to reset the muscle spindle.

I support the use of PT's performing dry needling, and hope to be certified in it one day myself!
