Dry needling is a safe and effective treatment for patients undergoing physical therapy. Physical Therapists should be allowed to use this scientific, researched-based practice in order to give patients in Viriginia the best care possible. Dry needling is certainly in the scope of PT practice. Dry needling is not the same as acupuncture, therefore, it should not be banned in Virginia.
