PTs should be able to dry needle as a form of treatment that will be beneficial to their patients. Dry needling is not equivalent to acupuncture as the technique differs. PTs are also qualified and educated on dry needling through training and certification requirements as well as their extensive knowledge of anatomy and the musculoskeletal system.
