PTs Should Be Able to Dry Needle

PTs should have the right to dry needle. Not only are they trained professionals and certified to do so, dry needling and acupuncture are two completely different practices. Dry needling targets muscle trigger points which elicit a twitch reaction and relaxes the muscle. As experts in movement, PTs are not only qualified and educated to perform dry needling, it is also in their scope of pratice.
