The practice scope of acupuncturists is to insert the acupuncture needles. This is our right and protected by law. The practice scope of physical therapists is to use physical therapy. Why don’t physical therapists stick to manual therapy and refer patients to licensed acupuncturists for needling. While acupuncturists refer patients to Pts if they need manual therapy. We can both help the same patient by doing what we were trained to do best.
