Law-bidding Virginians should be permitted to protect themselves with a handgun anywhere in the Commonwealth and especially in its forests.  I spend lots of time in the woods hunting, camping and teaching Scout skills.  I often see wild animals that can be harmful and just last year had to kill a coyote that was acting agressively.  We've all read about the murders and assaults on the Appalachian Trail.  By all means permit us to carry.  But even if you don't I still will!  TK
