In this 21st century, there is a treatment called "dry needling." To me, as a health care professional as MSN (Edu) and FNP, dry needling is new and innovative. I think acupuncturists deserve the credits to have the privilege to practice. Acupuncture is 5000 years old and had been used in these oriental countries as a mainstream medical treatment before Western medicine evolves and comes to the world. We should respect acupuncturists as health care professionals, granting them the titles with which they are trained, 5000 years of history and 3000 hours professional training.
