Naturally you should support the legal concealed and open carry of firearms in state forests. Aside from the constitutional implications it is common sense that an outdoorsman be afforded the right to carry a weapon to protect himself/herself from wildlife and human predators. While serving on a marijuana eraditaction detail in Kentucky I personally witnessed innocent campers walking into deadly situations in national and state parks. Bad people use our parks for growing illegal drugs, hiding from apprehension, and other criminal activities. An innocent person and their family could easily wander onto unsavory people miles from communication and/or help. Please protect Virginian's rights to protect themselves.
