I saw the No Guns Allowed sign at a local ACB store. As if some thug is going to pay any attention to that. 

This is a solution to a nonexistent problem. If someone really wants to cut down on violent crime with a firearm, then mandatory no plea bargains for felonies committed where a firearm was used. Also, defer the case to the federal courts because the there are federal laws against the commision of a felony where a firearm was used.
