I support the petition to allow the concealed carry of weapons in the national forest by legally licensed individuals.  The argument that allowing citizens to carry weapons for self defense would result in abuse against animals and other individuals who visit the forest would be letigimate and defensable if one could demonstrate one single case where a legally licensed person abused their priviledge and either shot an animal or another person, other than in self defense.  There are no documented cases on record and to assume that it culd occur with no substantiative evidence is silly.

This argument prsented by the anti-gun lobby and persons with personal agenda's against self defense weapons is simply untrue and raised to stir the emotional fears of the general public.
