I strongly support the petition

I strongly support the petition to support the lawful carry of handguns in state forests.

I'm really tired of being denied the right to defend myself and my family from criminals who pay no attention to the laws.  It doesn't matter how many laws you pass to prohibit carrying guns, the criminals don't care about the laws.  That's why they call them criminals.  All you do is stop law-abiding citizens from being able to defend themselves.  Gun-free zones are mass-murder zones.  The criminals know that no one but them will have a gun.  Notice how you never see these shooting sprees in police stations or shooting ranges?  Ever wonder why?

Just because it hasn't happened yet, doesn't mean it won't happen.  Virginia Tech is a prime example of this.  Remember when Charles Steger, the president of the University, toting how the "gun-free"  " will help parents, students, faculty and visitors feel safe on campus."  Less than a year after that we had 32 dead students and faculty because the university president had denied these victims their right to defend themselves.  He had the chance to change this and didn't.  His actions assured that Seung-Hui Cho was the ONLY one with a gun.  Gun free zone = mass shooting zone.  It's a simple equation of cause and effect that has been demonstrated time and again.  We need to stop this insanity.

The Supreme Court of the United States has uphelf my PERSONAL RIGHT to keep and bear arms.  I strongly support the petition to pull the state statutes in line with Federal Law guaranteeing me the right to defend myself and my family.

Think about it!

Sincerely,
    Dan Gracia
