As others have stated, I have a right to protect myself wherever Imay be in my state.

While some are concerned they will not know who the good guys vs the bad guys are, all I can say is that the bad guys--by definition-- do not currently obey the law, so there is NO downside to allowing law abiding citizens the right to carry.

Regarding the 'right to walk in the woods without seeing someone carrying a handgun,' I have no idea what the basis for such a 'right' may be.

Willful ignorance and misunderstanding is your right, so long as it does not infringe upon mine.

Irrational reactions have a long history in this country, law abiding gun owners are just the current politically correct victims.

It's time to move beyond the imposed ignorane and feelings of supposed adults.
