I am writing to urge the legislature's support for legislation banning guns in buildings owned or leased by the Commonwealth.  Government officials may be more susceptible to gun violence given their public stature and their occasional support of or opposition to controversial issues.  Protect them and their staff by prohibiting guns where they work.
