Guns on campuses make no sense. The vast majority of gun crimes are committed by men under 30. We do not need to arm people on college campuses. The second amendment promises gun rights for a well regulated militia (or hunting), neither of which needs to take place on a college campus. Allowing guns on campus will only lead to more casualties, whether intended or not. Please keep guns off of campuses. People fantasize themselves heroes, able to save the day by shooting down an attacker. But research bears out that this happens rarely, even among the well-trained, in moments of panic. We do not need more guns. We need fewer.
