My support for law abiding people to be able to carry is based on not just constitutional rights but common sense. There needs to be some balance against armed criminals, the police need all the support they can get when that cannot be there.

Our constutional guarantees were enacted for protection from a tyrannical king, today it is violent armed criminals we need to defend ourselves from.
