As someone who teaches in a university, I never want to have to worry that someone in my classroom is armed. Accidental discharges of weapons are common enough to be a significant threat and deliberate shootings on university campuses are a horror that no other advanced nation tolerates. Campuses should be safe, as should all public buildings.
