YES to carry within state parks!

State parks are highly unsafe places.  I go to Great Falls National Park and Shenandoah National Park on a monthly basis for recreational purposes.  Each time I go, I notice that when you're out in the woods, either alone or with a friend, it would be remarkably easy for someone to come along with a gun and either hold you up and steal everything you have or simply kill you and do the same.  There is nothing stopping anyone from performing such a notorious act.  It's possible that you could be far enough away from any other people that no one would ever hear the gunshot.  The scenario has several ways it could play out, but the general concept is hair-raising enough to make you cringe.

Imagine yourself in this position- You and your family are camping, hiking, or just taking a small day-long visit to a national park.  You head down a secluded pathway, and a man passes you asking you how far to the nearest guard post.  You say it's about a mile from here, then he smiles and pulls out a firearm on you and your family.  Would you rather be defenseless, allowing this criminal to do what he pleases with you or your family, or would you rather have a handgun concealed on you and have the ability to fire on him when he turns his attention away for a second.  The answer is clear.

Law-abiding citizens should be allowed to carry concealed handguns in order to defend themselves in state parks.  The Second Amendment secures our right to defend ourselves by carrying arms, and I cannot think of a more crucial location this would be needed than state parks.  Their isolation, remoteness, and sheer size are enough reason to see how simple it would be for a criminal to commit a horrific crime against innocent tourists and get away with it without anyone even being alerted to it.
