Let's recognize the decent members of our society; let them protect themselves.  For crying out loud, what else makes any sense?  Criminals carry guns because they need them for their nefarious work and can, yet the law prohibits good and productive members of society from doing the same.   At least let law abiding citizens carry weapons, too; you might find a nicer, saner world in which to live, the result of good people being able to defend themselves without violating a goofy law.   Pretty please, stop this insanity.  Good people have a right to live in this world, too.
