Yes, in support of position

Open or concealed carry of firearms in state forests only makes sense. It's in the Code of Virginia for the rest of the state, and only makes sense we should have consistent law in a state forest. In law enforcement, the latest tactics is for a responding officer to act immediately in case of an active shooter - these usually happen in so called "Gun free zones." Which actually is an advertisement to the criminal element "Anyone you find within this zone is defenseless, and easy game." Gun free zones can also be called killing fields. If I accidentally wander across some drug dealer's marijuana field in one of our state forests, I'd want the ability to defend myself.
