As a law abiding gun owner and longtime Virginia resident, I urge you to allow lawfully armed citizens to carry firearms concealed or open as currently defined by state law. Law abiding gun owners have gone through rigorous background checks and training to secure their right to carry a firearm  for protection,  which is a constitutional right.  Criminals do not obey laws and will carry weapons no matter what laws are enacted. Citizens should be able protect themselves and their families from the criminal element in our State Parks.  Please approve the concealed/open carry of handguns in our State Parks.
