I am a resident of Virginia and believe that it ismy right and duty to protect myself from criminal activity at all times.  If and when this requires me to carry a handgun, I wish to do so lawfully, including in State Forests.

Since the personnel now enforcing State Forest regulations are not required to protect me as an individual from criminal activity any more than other law enforcement police are, the present laws obligate me to become either a criminal to protect myself by carrying a weapon in the forests illegally, or a potential victim of some criminal that has no interest in obeying the laws any way.
