Weapons in the hands of sane, trained citizens not only allow persons to exercise their natural right to self defense but improve public safety. This is true on the streets, in stores, malls, churches, banks, and any other public place. Criminals do not obey firearm laws and can represent a threat anytime and anywhere. I applaude citizens who assume the serious responsibility to protect themselves and often those around them. This protection should extend of course into state forrests. There is nothing more dangerous than a so-called "gun free" zone where criminals can be confident they will face no armed resistance to their potentially fatal mischief.
