Allowing lawful carrying of handguns will serve to increase the safety of visitors to our Forests.  Law abiding citizens deserve the right to protect themselves if confronted by dangerous people or animals.  While we in Virginia have been lucky thus far, crime in National Parks has been going up, and we don't want that to happen here in VA.

Law abiding gun owners are NOT going to poach with self-defense handguns (thus the "Law Abiding" part), they support aggressive prosecution of those who violate hunting laws and regulations.
