The only people who care about laws are those of us interested in abiding by them. Legal gun owners are not and never have been the problem. The problem is that draconian laws disarm the good guys while the people with no compunction against breaking the law run around freely.

Carey suggests that having legal gun owners would be dangerous due to the inability to differentiate between the good and bad guys. Is the implication then that a little ambiguity at first glance is somehow worse than the absolute certainty one has that if an armed individual is encountered they are a criminal? Nonsense.

The VCDL does not fight "gun control" that attempts to combat criminals purchasing, owning, or utilizing firearms. The VCDL fights pseudo "gun control" which restricts the law abiding citizens of their ability to defend them selves and their families, legislation like that in question here. Vote yes on this petition, it's not a difficult choice.
