It has been demonstrated time and time again that regulations forbidding the lawful carry of weapons do absolutely nothing to prevent crime.  Criminals by definition do not obey these regulations, leaving law abiding citizens at their mercy. What purpose is there in disarming lawful citizens in the presence of predators? I urge you to enact this petiton and allow lawful carry of weapons in state forests. Common sense dictates no less.
