I oppose the CACREP accredidation requirement. I believe that the CACREP only requirement would serve to restrict  many highly trained and competent mental health professionals from obtaining licensure as a LPC and practicing in Virginia. Additionally, this restriction can be especially problematic for the state of Virginia given the shortage of mental health care professionals in many parts of state.
