As a practicing therapist who received an excellent education from a non-CACREP accredited institution, I strongly urge you to defeat this measure. This is a power grab by CACREP, which stands to make a lot of money if all potential counselors are required to attend one of their accredited programs. The strong-arm tactics they have used to prevent counselors from non-CACREP accredited insitutions from serving veterans, is just one example of maneuvers that are designed to serve the organization and not clients.
