Disagree with standardization

Trying to standardize all schools and push for everyone to have a certain accreditation is not fair. Especially if certain states do not require it, this makes our degree even less recognizable in other states. I have lived in NY my entire life and have done every degree here. As of June 12 I will become a Virginia resident and will be pursuing my hours there for my LPC.  My school was not CACREP accredited. If this is put into action then my move, my education will in a sense have been for nothing and will have to reconsider moving back, which is something I do not want to do. Being from NY and seeing how the LMHC degree is not as well known as other degrees or seeing how people have a hard time find jobs, this divide between the states for certain accreditations will make it even more difficult for people. Please do not make this a requirement for people, it will affect people who come from out of state and may want to settle down and have a life there.
