Years ago, we had the opportunity to visit a health facility in India. My son took me because he knew I was a nurse and he wanted me to see how slack the general standards were in this remote state of the country. Certainly, it was not where you would want to take a family member for medical care. It was dirty and had the general appearance of neglect. People had spit on the walls...is this the direction we wish to take in Virginia...a lowering of health standards including lack of training for personel and a flagrant disregard to correcting infractions of the standards in place. Please put partison politics aside and maintain and promote the standards needed to provide good health care of women in our state who go to the Abortion Clinic including availability of emergency equipment when required. We are all aware that the Abortion Industry can afford to spend what is necessary to make their clinics up to health code...they are not paupers and it will not put them out of business. Please do not lower your standards or give them a pass. Your duty is to promote the wellness of the women of our state. Sylvia M. Roughton
