Published rates of post-surgery complications for out-patient procedures

I am curious; I do not recall reading about a high rate of post-surgical complications prior to the 2009 change. What was the rate over the ten years prior to the change in the law? What has been the rate since then? Both absolute and per procedure numbers would be helpful.

For comparison, please research and publish rates for other outpatient procedures such as vasectomies, colonoscopies, cosmetic surgeries (breast implants, face lifts, lyposuction, etc.), and other procedures commonly performed in clinics as opposed to hospitals. Out of curiousity, how many of those clinics have also been made to conform to the requirements required of abortion clinics in 2009? If not, why not? (If the law only affected one kind of outpatient procedure, and all of them have similar rates of complications, you have to wonder why this particular procedure was targeted, don't you?)

As a final question, what is the rate of complications of a pregnancy carried to term, and how many of the abortions performed prior to 2009 were for medical reasons?

Please, make a sane, rational, and considered decision based on facts and benefits on both sides of the question, as well as the legal obligations of the state to the people.

Thank you.
