Abortion is not healthcare! It is the antithesis of the pledge all doctors make to protect life! No one NEEDS an abortion! People choose to have abortions. People justify the need for abortions by talking about the people who really need them, women who are victims of rape or incest and women whose lives are in danger because of the pregnancy. First, no one needs an abortion. Next, check the facts before using excuses that amount to less than 1% of all abortions performed. Last, to claim that abortions should be available especially when the woman's life is in danger is a disingenuous argument that has no basis in protecting women. If passing this legislation is really about limiting access to abortions, then I am all for it. Abstinence is the best cure for an unwanted pregnancy.
